Information we collect

When you place an order, Stripe Checkout collects information such as your name, email address, delivery and billing address, telephone number and payment details. Faramir Store receives the order and contact information needed to fulfil the purchase. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Why we use it and our lawful bases

• Contract: to take payment, prepare, deliver and support your order.
• Legitimate interests: to prevent fraud, protect the store, answer enquiries and resolve disputes.
• Legal obligation: to keep tax, accounting and transaction records where the law requires it.
• Consent: only where we specifically ask for it; you may withdraw it at any time.

Who receives information

Information is shared only where needed with service providers such as Stripe for payment processing and fraud prevention, our website hosting and security providers, email provider and delivery carriers. These providers process information for the relevant service. Some providers may process information outside the UK using an approved legal safeguard. We do not sell customer information and we do not use automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Storage and retention

We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. Order records are retained only for as long as needed for fulfilment, support, disputes and legal or accounting obligations, which may be up to six years. Payment security is handled by Stripe's secure checkout.

Essential storage and cookies

The store uses essential browser storage to remember items placed in your bag and security technologies needed to operate the site. Stripe may use essential payment and fraud-prevention technologies when checkout is opened. We do not currently use advertising cookies on this website. If that changes, this policy and the site's consent controls will be updated before non-essential tracking is used.

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, object to certain processing, request data portability or withdraw consent.
