Mixing
Our artistic stone-powder material is carefully mixed to reach the right working consistency. Small-batch mixing gives us closer control over each pour.
From mixture to object
Every Faramir piece passes through several hands-on stages. The slow work is what gives it its quiet, individual character.
Our artistic stone-powder material is carefully mixed to reach the right working consistency. Small-batch mixing gives us closer control over each pour.
The mixture is poured into a shaped mould and gently worked so it reaches the details of the form. This is where each tray, organiser, holder or sculpture begins.
The cast is left undisturbed while it sets and gains strength. Rushing this stage can affect the surface, so every piece is given the time it needs.
Once ready, the piece is carefully released from its mould. Natural differences become visible at this stage, making each object subtly individual.
Edges and surfaces are refined by hand. We smooth the form, correct rough points and preserve the tactile quality that gives the piece its character.
A protective finisher is applied by hand to support the matte surface and everyday use. The piece is then left to dry and cure fully.
We check the finish, stability and overall form before cleaning and packing the piece. Only then is it prepared for its journey to you.
Each object is wrapped and protected to reduce movement in transit. Please keep this packaging in case a return is ever needed.
Soft differences in shade, texture, surface pattern and tiny air marks are part of the casting and hand-finishing process. They are the visible trace of how the piece was made—not the uniformity of mass production.
Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth and dry promptly. Do not soak, place in a dishwasher or use abrasive cleaners. Protect from drops and heavy impact. For candleholders, use a stable heat-resistant surface and never leave a burning candle unattended.
